Yeti Badge

At the Aquatic Foundation of Alaska (AFA), we are excited to introduce the Yeti Badge, a unique and motivating way to recognize and reward our athletes for their dedication, perseverance, and achievements throughout the swim season.

Yeti Badge Details:

1. Seasonal Badges:

   • Athletes who maintain an 80% or higher attendance rate throughout the season and compete in the season's championship meet will be awarded a special Yeti Badge.

   • Each season will feature a unique badge design, making it a collectible and cherished item for our swimmers.

2. Year-End Badge:

   • Athletes who complete all seasons in a year with the required attendance and championship participation will earn the coveted Year-End Badge.

   • The Year-End Badge symbolizes their commitment, hard work, and consistency across the entire year.

3. Purpose and Motivation:

   • The Yeti Badge is designed to encourage athletes to stay committed to their training, strive for consistent attendance, and actively participate in competitions.

   • The badges serve as a tangible reminder of their accomplishments and progress, fostering a sense of pride and motivation.

How to Earn a Yeti Badge:

1. Maintain 80% or Higher Attendance:

   • Athletes must attend at least 80% of the scheduled practices during the season. Consistent attendance is key to their development and success in the sport.

2. Compete in the Season's Championship Meet:

   • Participation in the championship meet at the end of each season is required to earn the seasonal badge. This showcases their skills and dedication in a competitive setting.

3. Collect All Seasonal Badges for the Year-End Badge:

   • Athletes who earn all the seasonal badges within a year will be awarded the prestigious Year-End Badge, marking their year-long commitment and achievement.
