Aquatic Ambassadors, Rising Together

Across Alaska, the water gives life, yet it also takes too many of our own.
Our state’s drowning rate is among the highest in the nation, about seven times higher than the U.S. average (epi.alaska.gov).
Behind every number is a name, a family, a story that matters.

We believe knowledge can change that story.

The Aquatic Ambassadors Program exists to empower communities across Alaska to share the skills, traditions, and confidence that keep us safe on the water.
From reopened pools to new programs, from elders to youth, we work with communities, not for them, building the next generation of local instructors, coaches, and water leaders.

Together, we can make learning to swim a celebration of life, culture, and connection, and ensure every Alaskan feels at home in the water that surrounds us.

If you’re ready to help bring that vision to life, reach out to [email protected].
Become an Aquatic Ambassador, and help us turn the tide, one community at a time.
